Copyright
Copyright & fair play
How Slowed Room approaches copyright, why we don't download from streaming platforms, and how to report a concern.
Slowed Room is a tool, like an audio editor. It works with files you provide and never hosts, distributes or stores user content on our servers.
What we don't do
- We don't download or extract audio from YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, TikTok, Apple Music or other streaming services. Doing so breaks their terms and usually the rights holder's copyright.
- We don't host a catalogue of commercial music.
What we encourage
- Using music you made or have licensed.
- Using Creative Commons music that permits modification — our built-in library only shows those — with proper credit.
- Downloading your own uploads from YouTube Studio if you want to remix them.

Reporting a concern
Because we don't host user files, there's nothing on our servers to take down. If you believe content on slowedroom.com itself (our pages, images or text) infringes your rights, email copyright@slowedroom.com with the URL, a description of the work, and your contact details.
