Daycore: slower, lower, moodier

Daycore is nightcore’s mirror image — the track slowed so its pitch falls, with just enough reverb to blur the edges. Moody, not murky.

FAQ

Questions about the daycore maker.

What’s the difference between daycore and slowed + reverb?

Both slow the song down. Daycore keeps the reverb light so it sounds deeper and darker; slowed + reverb leans into a big, washy hall.

How slow is daycore?

Usually 75–85% of the original speed, in tape mode so the pitch drops with it.

Can I keep the original pitch?

Yes, switch to “Keep pitch”, though most daycore keeps the pitch drop because that’s the character of the style.
