Android app privacy
How the SlowedRoom Android app handles your data: it doesn't collect any. Your songs are processed on your phone, with no account, ads, analytics or tracking.
This page covers the SlowedRoom app for Android. The iPhone app has its own privacy policy, and the website has its own privacy policy.
The short version
SlowedRoom for Android doesn't collect, store or share any of your data. There's no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The app works entirely offline.
Your music
Songs you open are slowed, sped up and processed on your phone. They are never uploaded anywhere. The app only reads the songs you choose, using Android's file picker or "Open with" and "Share" from another app.
Your exports
When you export, the finished file is saved to your phone's music library (Music/SlowedRoom) and kept in the app's private cache so you can share it. It only leaves your phone if you choose to share it.
Settings
Your effect settings (speed, reverb, presets and so on) are saved on your phone so they're the same next time. If Android backup is turned on for your device, Android may include these settings in your Google backup, under Google's privacy policy.
Permissions
On Android 9 and older, the app asks for storage access only to save exports into your Music folder. Newer versions of Android don't need any permission for this.
Children
SlowedRoom isn't directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
